AMD’s Radeon RX 7800M is a high-performance mobile graphics chip, launched on September 11, 2024. Using the Navi 32 graphics processor based on a 5nm process, it supports DirectX 12 Ultimate, making features like hardware-raytracing and variable-rate shading available on all modern games and future titles.
The chip includes 3840 shading units, 240 texture mapping units, 96 ROPs, and 60 raytracing acceleration cores. It has 12GB of GDDR6 memory, connected via a 192-bit interface. The GPU operates at a base frequency of 1295 MHz, which can be expanded up to 2335 MHz. Its memory runs at 2250 MHz (18 Gbps effective), and the maximum power draw is 180W.
The device is designed for laptops/notebooks and connects to the system via a PCI-Express 4.0 x16 interface. Despite not having monitor connectivity, it is a powerful solution for gaming and graphics-heavy applications.
