The Intel Core Ultra 7 265K is a 20-core desktop processor, launched in October 2024 at a price of $394. It is based on the Arrow Lake architecture and uses Socket 1851. With 30 MB L3 cache and a base frequency of 3.9 GHz, this processor can reach 5.5 GHz on Turbo Boost.
It is manufactured at TSMC’s foundry on a 3nm node and is equipped with 17,800 million transistors. Due to the unlocked multiplier, it is favorable for overclocking. With 125 W TDP, it requires better cooling.
It supports DDR5 memory (6400 MT/s) and PCI-Express Gen 5. ECC memory support makes it suitable for mission-critical applications. Also, with Arc Xe-LPG Graphics 64EU it offers integrated graphics solution.
Support for virtualization and advanced vector extensions (AVX, AVX2) makes it a great choice for compute-heavy and virtualization applications. However, it does not support AVX-512.
