NVIDIA launched its new RTX 5880 Ada Generation professional graphics card on January 5, 2024. The card is based on a 5nm process and uses the AD102 graphics processor, which supports DirectX 12 Ultimate.
It has 14080 shading units, 440 texture mapping units, and 176 ROPs. Additionally, it includes 440 tensor cores, which improve the performance of machine learning applications. The RTX 5880 Ada also has 110 raytracing acceleration cores, which help in real-time raytracing.
The graphics card has 48 GB of GDDR6 memory, which is associated with a 384-bit memory interface, and the GPU frequency is 975 MHz, which can be increased to 2460 MHz. The memory speed is 2250 MHz (18 Gbps effective).
With a power draw of 285 W, this dual-slot card draws power from a 1x 16-pin power connector. Its display outputs include 4x DisplayPort 1.4a, and it uses the PCI-Express 4.0 x16 interface.
